About Us

How Aussie Paws came to be

I grew up on 5 acres in Australia. Not only did we have a menagerie of farm animals but also our faithful family dog "Laddie".  He taught me at a very early age about the unconditional love that you receive from our beloved fur babies.  Laddie was a collie x border collie, he had the most gentle temperament but had stamina that could last all day.  If you were not a dog person before you met Laddie, you were when you left.


So when I moved to Canada and got married, we started a family of our own.  We wanted to complete the family tree by adding a fur baby.  We studied different breeds of dogs before settling on a breed that was something similar to Laddie and coincidently had a connection to my background.  We purchased our first Australian Shepard, "Joey".   Joey spent thirteen wonderful years with us, before passing away in 2019.  We miss him dearly everyday.


 Some months went by without having a fur baby around the house, we couldn't bear how empty and quiet our home felt.  So, right before Covid 19 we went and picked up our second Aussie and named him "Maui".


After working for many years for a few different companies, I felt like I needed to do something for myself. I've always wanted to own my own business but it had to be something that I loved.  My love of dogs made perfect sense.


The connection of me being an Aussie and owning Aussies pups, it just had to be Aussie Paws - Dog Adventures
